  • Real Estate Conference Madrid 2012

Real estate sector proposals to contribute to economic recovery

ConferenciaThe start of the new legislature represents the chance to tackle reforms which, by their very magnitude, deserve to be classified as structural. In particular, though not solely, the necessary reforms to speed up the procedures for managing urban planning in Spain.

The Real Estate Conference Madrid 2012 will once again serve as a driving force within the real estate sector to deliver new urban planning proposals to the public administrations, to discuss elements standing in the way of the sector’s recovery, and to put on the table the need to improve quality, transparency and information regarding prices, production and sales.

    Madrid 18 and 19 April 2012
    Organizers: Asprima and Planner Reed
    Taking place:
Wednesday 18 April 2012. HOTEL PALACE - Salón Neptuno.

  • International Highlights 2012

Within the framework of SIMA 2012 a practical activity will be taking place: International Highlights 2012. This will be bringing together prominent professionals and organisms from markets such as USA, Brazil and Russia, who will be presenting their impressions of the real estate situation in their respective markets, and their outlooks, challenges and current opportunities. It is hoped that this activity will mean a constructive boost to enabling professionals to find interesting alternatives in varying international markets.

  • Energy rehabilitation of buildings

Opportunity and regulatory framework. Business models.

40% of the total energy consumption in the European Union corresponds to buildings. Reducing this consumption level and, by extension, emissions, and the use of renewable sources, are the main objectives of EU Directive 2010/31, which should start to be implemented in EU countries in 2013. The directive, which affects both old and new buildings, will have a substantial impact on corporate activity, on the types of materials to be used, and establishes a horizon of 2020 for all new builds to be buildings with “nearly-zero energy consumption”. During this session we will analyse the opportunities and regulatory framework for energy rehabilitation in Spain, and deal with subjects including materials, solutions and available systems on the market to tackle energy rehabilitation projects.

  • Exporting property

An option to reduce existing surplus property on sale in Spain

The session objective is to tackle the subject of Exporting Property, as an option to reduce the existing surplus property on sale in Spain. The concept of Exportation is aimed at selling coastal property to foreigners, given that the arguments that have historically justified these sales are still valid (climate, food, culture on offer, tourist appeal, etc) and, furthermore, costs have come down significantly. On the other hand there are still obstacles that stand in the way of these sales: immigration laws for non-EU residents, legal uncertainties, etc. The session will approach this problem area from varying perspectives and focussing on different possible buyer markets.

Organizers: Asociación Profesional de Gestión de Adjudicados (apGA)

    Taking place:
    Thursday 19 April 2012. 16:00-17:30 h. IFEMA – South Convention Centre. Room S22

  • Industrialised housing

A tool for innovation and competiveness in the real estate sector

The market currently boasts new formulas or tools which enable promoters to undertake real estate promotions that largely mitigate financial risks. These tools may also help Financial Entities to liberate a large portion of their “surplus” building land.

All of this could be achieved through industrialised housing, which with shorter housing completion times of around three months would allow said agents to build as the properties are sold.

The industrialised construction of housing is a reality which is slowly gaining ground. Those attending this session will be offered a practical vision of this building option which brings numerous benefits with it.

Organizers: A-Cero TECH and Planner Reed
Taking place: 20 April 2012. IFEMA – South Convention Centre.
