Visitors to SIMA Winter show a clear interest in buying

  • A significant flow of visitors interested in acquiring second homes was detected

SIMA Winter came to a close on 26 February, having played host, at the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium’s VIP Box, to a significant visitor numbers which met expectations and whose common denominator was that they were visiting the fair with a clear interest in making a purchase.
A total of 35 enterprises attended the event which saw the presentation of more than 200 property promotions, of which around 80% corresponded to first homes and 20% to second homes.
“Property buyers have not disappeared, and they are there waiting to find what they are looking for at price conditions they can meet, and this has been demonstrated by the significant numbers of visitors to SIMA Winter, despite the current economic climate. The success of this prime real estate event points to a positive trend in demand forecast for upcoming events,” commented Eloy Bohúa, Managing Director at Planner Reed, the company organising the fair.

Exhibitor declarations

“This is the first time we’ve been to the Bernabéu and we’ve been positively surprised because we’ve seen that the public has turned up in great numbers. And they are interested in northern areas, though also in southern ones.”
Pol Clota Gou, Director of the Commercial Division at Catalunya Caixa Immobiliària

“People have come with an interest in property and a desire to, buy. We’ve had a bit of everything, older buyers looking for first homes, young couples... Our property has been well received”.
Fernando Cuerda, Delegation Coordinator at Altamira

“SIMA Winter is an intimate affair, and we have noted that there is interest and that people are queuing up from 11 in the morning”.
Jorge Fraile, Commercial Manager at Finca las Marías

“People have turned up looking for property both in Madrid and on the coast in Sotogrande and Marbella. From all the visits we’ve had we’ve arranged lots of property viewings. That’s where we’ll see the promotional sales results.”
Rafael Valderrábano, Director at Inmobiliaria Básico

“We’ve had good visitor numbers, especially from customers interested in the company’s two star products: the Mexican The Fives promotion, and in the Spain the one at Almería’s Mar de Pulpí.  In general the profile of the visiting public is medium to high”.
Jesús Ramírez Iglesias, Head of Sales for Mexico and Spain at TM Grupo Inmobiliario

“Our experience has been very positive. Our demand profile has proved highly varied because we have a wide range of properties. We have attended young couples looking in Madrid as well as elderly buyers interesting in beach property whether as an investment or holiday home”.
Rafael Criado, Salesperson for Malaga at Inmobiliaria Osuna

“We had high expectations of this new location because this is the first year that we’ve come to SIMA Winter. We’ve had high-level profile visitors whose first question has been for the type of property they are looking for; finance isn’t something that generally concerned them.
Almudena de la Fuente, Commercial Manager at Jones Lang LaSalle

“The people who visited us were mostly young buyers looking for their first home. They were interested in a minimum of three bedrooms, with garage space and good travel links. The greatest demand was for our property in Arganda, but we also noted high levels of interest in, and intention to buy, property in the city of Madrid.”
Carmen Ruisánchez, Marketing  Director at Adrisa
